Laundry renovations & combined wet areas.
The hardest-working room in the house, finally made to work. Custom joinery, durable benchtops, smart storage and efficient layouts — on their own or combined with a bathroom renovation in the same wet area.
A laundry that earns its space.
Layout first
We plan the room around how you actually use it — a continuous bench over the machines for folding, a deep practical trough, broom and basket storage, and a home for the iron and the cleaning gear. In a tight Geelong laundry that often means taking cabinetry to the ceiling and choosing a stacked or front-loader layout to free up bench and floor.
Custom & semi-custom joinery
From flat-pack on a budget to fully custom Australian-made joinery, sized to your walls rather than to a standard module. Soft-close doors and drawers, integrated bins, a fold-out drying rail or hidden hamper — the storage moves that make a small laundry feel twice the size.
Durable benchtops & finishes
Laundries get wet, hot and knocked about, so we steer you toward benchtops and flooring that take it — laminate or compact laminate on a budget, stone or porcelain at the top end — with splashbacks and floor tiles chosen for easy cleaning and water resistance.
Combined bathroom + laundry
Plenty of Geelong homes — compact post-war cottages, European-laundry ensuites — share a wet area between bathroom and laundry. Renovating both in one project means a single waterproofing job, one tiling run and one set of trades, which is more efficient and usually cheaper than doing them in two separate hits.
Realistic Geelong pricing (2026)
- Small laundry (5–10m², practical finishes): $3,000–$7,000
- Budget / cosmetic update: $5,000–$10,000
- Mid-range (new cabinets, tiling, benchtops, plumbing): $10,000–$18,000
- High-end (custom joinery, premium materials, structural changes): $18,000–$30,000+
Keeping the existing plumbing layout and choosing flat-pack or semi-custom cabinetry are the two biggest levers on cost — moving the trough and machine taps is what pushes a laundry up a tier.
Why we don’t cut corners on waterproofing
A laundry is a wet area, and a slow leak under a washing machine or trough can rot a floor and damage adjoining rooms long before anyone notices. We waterproof the floor and splashback zones in line with AS 3740 and the plumbing code, and have a licensed plumber complete and certify the connections — we don’t treat a laundry as a “dry” room just because it’s not a full bathroom.
Licensed plumbing, compliant wet area.
Laundry plumbing is completed by a licensed plumber who issues a Compliance Certificate, the wet-area waterproofing follows AS 3740, and where a combined bathroom-laundry project exceeds $16,000 it’s carried out under VBA registration with domestic building insurance. Same standards as a bathroom — because a laundry is a wet area too.
